FAQS
Does Lanikai Designs use metal other than 14K Gold-Filled?
Currently, all jewelry metals are made with only 14K Gold-Filled metal.
What is 14K Gold-Filled?
Gold-filled material is made by heat- and pressure-bonding a thin layer (at least 5% of the total weight of the material) of karat gold to a core of high quality jewelers brass. The result is an actual layer of karat gold, not just a microscopic film, as is the case with gold-plated items. The karat gold covering significantly increases the tarnish resistance of the base metal substrate. Gold-filled jewelry allows the desirable color of karat gold at an affordable price point than is possible to solid gold. The ideal balance of quality and value.
